What I loved and hated about each season of Pretty Little Liars

Season 4

Loved: Bad Ezra

It wouldn’t be Pretty Little Liars without a gasp-worthy plot twist, and this one was good. However, I may be biased because I’ve always found something unsettling about Ezra.

I mean, the man is a high-school teacher who’s sleeping with one of his students and never hangs out with people his own age. Just odd.

So, I felt a bit vindicated when I found out he wasn’t quite on the up and up.

I did feel bad for poor Aria, though. Ezra played her like a chump. And even though he explained his bad behavior, apologized and assured Aria that his feelings for her were real, it didn’t change my view of him. He’s still skeevy.

Side note, I already gave away one plot twist earlier, so I won’t spoil this one, too. You’ll just have to watch the show or do some Googling to find out what Ezra did. Sorry.

Hated: Spencer’s drug addiction

If you haven’t caught on by now, Spencer is my favorite character. She’s my homegirl. Plain and simple.

With that said, my initial reaction to this absurd storyline was…

And then…

Spencer rode the emotional Toby-A rollercoaster and was admitted to Radley Sanitarium in Season 3. But that (clearly) wasn’t enough turmoil, because the writers then turned her into a relapsed pill-popper who goes to rehab. Ugh.

So, uh, yeah…
