5. Heavyweights
I can’t get enough of movies that make me snort-laugh every time I watch them. And let me tell you, Heavyweights does just that.
The movie follows preteen Gerry Garner during his first summer at Camp Hope, a sleepaway camp for portly adolescents. It seems like a great place, until health nut Tony Perkis, played by Ben Stiller, becomes the new owner.
Naturally, things don’t go well under his leadership, as he attempts to “Perkisize” Gerry and all his friends into skinny winners. His words, not mine.
And while dear old Uncle Tony is the villain here, it doesn’t make him any less comical. His eccentric antics are what make Heavyweights so entertaining.
